Well I would just like to say that this journal entry is long overdue. It's something that I felt would be appropriate to post on here. Really, I would just like to say that my boyfriend, Tom and I are no longer together anymore.

We broke up actually, about three weeks ago -- one week before our one year anniversary. It's something that he really wanted to do and unfortunately, it's something that really has been difficult for me to deal with. I haven't posted this journal right away because honestly, I was still holding onto the possibility that him and I could reconcile a relationship and continue once more, but every day I can see that that's something that seems less possible as time goes on. Apart from that, I've been somewhat ashamed by posting beautiful deviations, and having an album dedicated to him and I -- and now it just hurts knowing that him and I aren't together anymore, and that the memories we once had together seem to be memories that we shall share separately as part of our past, and not something that we can recollect on together.

Everything happens for a reason. Tom has jealousy and trust issues, and it was something where he was pressuring me into not feeling liberated enough in my life. It was difficult when I felt like I was being forced to choose between my friends and my boyfriend, but overall, it just led to life as I know it now. Honestly, tears run down my cheeks as I type this due to the hardships of a love that is now gone, but life goes on. Heartbreak is an emotion that everyone experiences, and I know it's something that is only mild compared to the difficulties that so many individuals experience throughout the world.

With that, I'm going to go on with my life as it is. Him and I talk a little, but things aren't nearly the same as they used to be. It still occasionally hurts, but things are easier than they were three weeks when we separated (July 17th, 2009). I'm glad that I have close friends who will be here to help me through it all and I'm fortunate to know that I have a lot in life ahead of me and a lot to look forward to. I hope everyone is doing well.
